You are incorrect. The T10 not only works with WMP10 (which I don't prefer) but works also with MusicMatch Plus V.10. Also I have been able to use windows explorer to just "drop and drag" files over to the T10. Now I am not saying I'm happy with this player, since I have been through 7 units in the last month. Seems they do have their share of problems, but at this rate I will soon have all the defective units off the market! I do like the appearance and durability (or looks there of) of this unit, looks great and when the files transfer correctly it sounds fantastic. I've also tried different earbud units with this, except for the unrealist high priced ones. My limit is $20 for earbuds and none have matched the quality of sound that the OE earbuds produce (but that excess wire from left to right earbud???). I have figured out that the more sound I hear the more defects in the sound that the T10 produces. Meaning, when the bass is amplified the unit also induces other sounds into the earbuds (I was thinking questions like... "did this music group add another bass player?" (4 or the 7 units I had), tremble (high notes) well I'm not sure where these units induce these sounds from. Comparing the audio files I have (mostly MP3 and some WMA burned from my CD collection)on my PC's (2 different CPU'S both running XP Home SP2) Swapping the same earbuds from T10 to CPU watching the timing mark on a song I have found the T10 just produces sounds at randam, unknown noises the higher the volume (on mulitple units.) Multiple formats with the latest firmware and numerous earbud sets. Talked to their tech support (ha) to no help. OH,and the latest problem with my newest unit (coming from two different Bestbuy stores) is the 4 way toggle switch on the front, it "snaps" or sticks when going from up to down. I've pretty much decided to live with this problem, but the wobbling in the sound! now is my latest problem (since the 2nd or 3rd unit?). All in all I would say Iriver builds a good looking unit but the quality in these units is far from the best by any means. They market a "toy" for kids and sell them. Do not buy this unit if you like to listen to quality sound. As an added note, I have tried data compression like MP3PRO to reduce files and compiled these files into different folders on my CPU's, Even on WMA files reducing the quality, but all this does is allow the user to put more files on the T10, I have ran the files down to 64KB quality and have seen no reduction in quality of play. Since I have over 200 files on my T10 at 144KB quality I see no need in reducing of quality, more than enough songs to go portable for me.

It does show up as a audio player when you click My Computer. You can just copy and paste the files into the music folder without going through windows media player.

I've just bought one... very nice player, great screen, great sound, but this is overall a piece of crap: that thing only works with Windows Media player 10, that means that there is NO WAY to transfer files using any other way...

Why did they choose that instead of USB storage that works on any computer as long as it has usb ports??
