This is the entertainment unit which the company’s new DPC-8099PD-I represents, an inno-vation on display at the IFA. This is an elegantly designed flat DVD laptop with an iPod dock-ing station on board. Users can enjoy this portable music machine’s sound via built-in stereo speakers or headphones. An 8-inch TFT LCD screen handles the videos. The controls on the DVD player make light work of operating the iPod. The DPC-8099PD-I plays DVD, VCD, CD and CD-R/RW optical media, and supports MP3, JPG und DivX audio/video formats. In addi-tion to discs and iPod music archives it features other sources for listening and viewing: a card reader for SDs, MMCs and memory sticks lets the user import audio/video files, and connecting a flash drive to the USB slot gives access to other media content.
